Message on my way up to Sac the other day and my lower radiator hose decided it wanted to explode...this is the RVM aluminum one, and the rubber housing just let go...ripped apart..well i was cruising just at about 70mph, so i couldnt see it, or anything, and couldnt smell it, and since it was leaking coolant from the bottom hose, the temp sensor continued to read normal....i didnt realize anything had happend until all of a sudden i heard some clicking noises, then the engine just completely seized, and wouldnt do anything, just coasted down to a complete stop. not completely sure what happend, i popped the hood, smoke from the bottom and coming up, after a bit finally figured out what happend, had the car towed, and had my parents drive up to Sac w/ a new radiator hose to replace it and coolant (thinking this was the only problem) after getting that fixed, tried to turn the car over, and the first noise was a HUGE HUGE back firing *POP*, but no turn over, and it just continued...when trying to start the car, it basically sounds like it does when you are doing a compression test...all the spark plugs out and all. it was lovely to get to pay a tow trucker $300.00 to tow my car at 12am only a wopping 50 miles. (but hey, it was $165 to tow it 5 1/2 miles when my tranny went).

i do have some questions here before i do any drastic measures (but yes, the car WILL be for sale) is this covered any type of warrenty under nissan (for my short block, asuuming my piston rings are fried) and is there any legal action i can pursue against RVM, b/c this is the SECOND hose of theirs that has exploded (luckily the first one was the upper of the lower hoses and was spraying against engine so i could smell it) their product is total crap and am willing to do just about anything to take them to court for some type of reinbursement of the problems they have causes me (first time was $140.00, this time could be Thousands).
